Race Around the World

About

Race Around the World is an online team building activity that is designed specifically for remote workers. It takes the participants on an exciting trip around the globe.The activity is delivered by our award-winning Go Team app and can be played on any device in any location.

Players communicate with their team over video conferencing collaborating to navigate their team's Explorer across the globe. Each team assigns an Explorer who is lead by his Guides on a virtual race around the 6 continents. Teams score points by completing challenges which are themed to the location. Timed stages and the added pressure of managing limited resources makes for a very engaging learning platform.

Learning Outcomes

Race Around The World allows remote workers to develop soft skills in a way that applies to working from home. As the objectives unfold gradually throughout the game and situations change, teams must take an agile approach to their collaborative strategic thinking and planning. Race Around the World has an iterative learning framework where participants are encouraged to gather information, think critically and compare their solution with that of others in the team. Under the pressure of time, teams find that communicating online is quite different from face-to-face communication. Actively listening to receive and interpret messages, watching for facial cues and communicating precisely and succinctly are keys to team success.
